Measurement of the cosec b law of diffuse galactic emissionand the 3K large-scale anisotropy.
Abstract
The authors report results of a balloon-borne experiment on the large-scale anisotropy of the cosmic background radiation and the far-infrared diffuse emission of the Galaxy. They derive the dust antenna temperature at the North Galactic Pole in the 200 - 450 μm band, although a cosec b law does not provide a satisfactory global fitting of data. Upper limits on the dust emission around 1 mm and on the quadrupole anisotropy of the cosmic background are also provided.
