Gamma Ray Astronomy Experiments at Energies Greater than 1 TeV
Abstract
Ultra-high-energy gamma rays were detected in a number of experiments from pulsars (Crab and Vela), X-ray binaries (Cyg X-3, Her X-1, Vela X-1) and extragalactic sources (Cen A, M31). Most of these objects emit TeV energy gamma rays at intensity levels of 10-11±1γ cm-2s-1. This review paper presents a summary of currently available observational results.
