Orbit estimation with auto-correlated force field errors
Abstract
The application of additive deweighting to orbit sequential estimation in the presence of auto-correlated force field errors is extended to orbits with any eccentricity less than one. A gravity error variance-covariance matrix is obtained for points located at any variable distance from the earth's mass center. By means of a new independent variable it is shown that the problem of estimation can be linearized and dealt with a classical generalization of Kalman's Filter.
