Characteristics of the anti-Stokes scattering of coherent polariton waves in direct-gap semiconductors
Abstract
Elementary phonoriton excitation, which in associated with the modification of the photon, exciton, and phonon excitations of a semiconductor in the presence of a coherent polariton wave, is defined through a canonical transformation of a model Hamiltonian. A system of macroscopic phonoriton equations is obtained which makes it possible to analyze the nonstationary problem. The conditions under which an experimental observation of phonoriton splitting is possible are determined, and the problem of additional boundary conditions for acoustic and phonoriton waves is examined.
