Systems near the onset and in the well-developed regimes of turbulence: Research completed and in progress
Abstract
Brief summaries of research by E. Siggia, M. J. Feigenbaum, and L. Chayes are presented. The research of E. Siggia concerns the study of singular solutions to the Biot-Savart model for a vortex filament, integrability for discrete Hamiltonian systems, and small divisor problems. M. J. Feigenbaum is studying the behavior of objects with highly complicated scaling properties. L. Chayes has focused on the mathematics and physics of disordered systems. Lists of publications for each researcher are included.
