A microstrip-dielectric-waveguide isolator for the short-wave part of the millimeter range
Abstract
A microstrip-dielectric-waveguide isolator for operation at 2 mm has been constructed and tested. The device operates in the absence of an external magnetic field on the Faraday effect in magnetized hexaferrite, and uses anisotropic dichroic and birefringent dielectric components. Forward and backward losses in the isolator were measured by a BWT system.
