Energy characteristics of frequency shift keyed continuous-phase signals
Abstract
The efficiency of using frequency shift keyed signals with a continuous phase in radio systems transmitting discrete messages is examined. It is shown that a frequency shift keyed signal with a keying index of 0.5 is particularly effective; the physical mechanisms responsible for the high efficiency of this signal are examined.
