A method of adaptive signal processing
Abstract
The paper examines the operation of a phase-conjugate adaptive system whose feedback circuit uses the spatial Fourier transformation. Computer simulation is employed to obtain the diffraction patterns of a point object in the absence or presence of feedback. It is shown that the proposed system makes it possible to detect spatial signals on a background of spatial noise, to reduce the sidelobe level, and to carry out the necessary transformation of antenna radiation patterns. The system can be constructed on the basis of existing microwave components.
