Representation of diffraction fields by wave potentials and the method of auxiliary currents in problems of electromagneticwave diffraction
Abstract
Classical representations of diffraction fields by vector wave potentials are extended to the case when the densities of these potentials are distributed on an auxiliary surface. Sufficient conditions are established for the existence of a solution to the electromagneticwavediffraction problem by the method of auxiliary currents. Attention is given to an example of determining the singularity of a diffraction field continued analytically inside a scatterer. The diffraction of a plane wave by a spheroid is considered.
