Stability of the position of the axis of the directional pattern of repetitively pulsed monopulse lasers
Abstract
Results of a study of the stability of the position of the axis of the directional pattern of repetitively pulsed single-mode monopulse YAG lasers are presented. It is shown that the stability of the directional pattern axis position can be estimated quantitatively by using the ratio of the angular shift of the directional pattern axis to the size of the intracavity wedge producing this shift. The importance of defining the requirements for the optical elements and the design of solid-state monopulse lasers in order to achieve high stability is emphasized.
