Shock-wave structure in a mixture consisting of a gas and melting particles
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical study of the structure of a shock wave in a mixture consisting of a gas and particles moving at the same velocity but at different temperatures. Gas compression in the mixture leads to nonequilibrium melting because of the nonequilibrium character of the liquid-phase concentration. A numerical analysis of the problem is carried out, and the effect of the kinetic parameters of the mixture on the flow pattern is considered.
