Adaptive multispectral and texture analysis
Abstract
Digital image-processing techniques based on two-dimensional scene analysis are described. The emphasis is on the advantages of highly adaptive automation for combined methods. Consideration is given to isolated parametric procedures, interactive systems, result-controlled procedures, hypothesis-controlled procedures, and trade-offs between processing expense and accuracy. The fundamental principles of adaptive techniques for image segmentation, multispectral analysis, and texture analysis are illustrated with block diagrams.
