Head tracking stereoscopic display
Abstract
This paper describes a full-color stereoscopic display using two field sequential CRT projection modules combined with a simple head position sensor with servo-controlled moveable exit pupils. The position sensor has a lens imaging the user's head on a two-segment detector. This results in an optimized system permitting a moving observer to view a high-contrast high-resolution high-brightness full-color stereoscopic presentation without using special glasses.
