Electron acceleration and additional ionization during parametric plasma heating
Abstract
Electron acceleration in a partially ionized plasma by plasma waves is analyzed with allowance for the effects of turbulent expansion and the formation of secondary electrons as a result of ionization due to electron impact. It is shown that a cumulative increase in the density of electrons accelerated to 1-2 ionization potentials (instability) occurs above a certain critical density of the plasma waves.
