The structure and magnetic properties of magnetically hard neodymium-iron-boron systems alloyed by 3d-metals
Abstract
Magnetically hard materials based on the intermetallic compound Nd2Fe14B have been alloyed 3d-metals (Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, and Cu) with a view to enhance their magnetic properties. Of the alloying elements investigated, only cobalt is found to have high solubility in the Nd2Fe14B crystal lattice, it considerably increases the Curie temperature of the alloys, with the magnetization remaining constant.
