Deviations of measured magnetic field with respect to the theoretical one as an orientation of magnetometer axes
Abstract
Magnetic measurements obtained with the IMAP-1 vector magnetometer on the Bulgarian-1300 satellite are utilized to estimate the orientation of the satellite. The method for determining the orientation of the axes of a three-component magnetometer, which is based on the theory of rotation in a three-dimensional space of Madelung (1986), is described. It is observed that the orientation of the satellite and of the vertical axis are within admissible limits.
