Angular diameters by the lunar occultation technique. VII.
Abstract
Lunar occultation observations of 18 events for 12 late-type stars have yielded 36 new angular diameters. With the addition of a three-channel optical photometer to the instrumental setup, measurements can be simultaneously obtained at six wavelengths in the range 0.45 - 2.28 μm. The diameters of M0.5 to M4 stars are systematically smaller at 1.6 μm than at 2.2 μm, confirming initial observations in Paper V for a smaller sample of stars. The diameter of Y Tau (C6,4) and FY Lib (gM5) may vary with time, but the size of SW Vir (M7 III:) appears constant.
