Miniature laser diode pumped Nd:YAG lasers
Abstract
Progress in high power laser diodes operating near 0.81 micron allow the construction of efficient, low power Nd:YAG lasers. An end pumped Nd:YAG oscillator with 25 percent slope efficiency and 2 mW threshold is described. The demonstrated frequency stability of the diode pumped monolithic Nd:YAG laser is less than 10 kHz in 0.1 sec.
