Mission analysis and orbit control of the heliosynchronous satellite SPOT
Abstract
The SPOT satellite multispectral and panchromatic Earth imaging mission is outlined, and the influence of mission constraints on orbit parameters is discussed. The effects of geopotential variations, Moon-Sun magnetic fields, and atmospheric friction on the satellite trajectory are analyzed. Stationkeeping and orbital maneuvers are described.
