Electromagnetic fields /Revised edition/
Abstract
The calculation of electric and magnetic fields in the presence of ponderable bodies at rest is discussed. The general topics considered include: linear analysis, variational and perturbational techniques, electrostatic fields in the presence of dielectrics, electrostatic fields in the presence of conductors, special geometries for the electrostatic field, stationary magnetic fields, and time-dependent fields in vacuum. Also addressed are: time-dependent fields in the presence of material media, high and low-frequency limits, resonant cavities and the interior problem, the exterior problem of aperture radiation and scattering, two-dimensional fields and plane boundaries, cylindrical boundaries, and conical boundaries and boundaries of revolution.
