Vortex gas counter type WBZ 08. Practical experience
Abstract
The performance of the vortex gas counter type WBZ 08 is reviewed. The counter consists of vortex bodies with T profiles, a thermistor for vortex scanning, and an electronic monitoring unit. Error curves from low and high pressure test benches show a measurement accuracy of 0.3%. The vortex gas counter shows good robustness, stability and reproductibility. The theoretical self-cleaning of the vortex bodies through vortex cavitation is confirmed. The theoretical counter factors show good agreement with the ones measured through dry calibration. The functional error safety of the entire measuring facility can be optimized by connecting flow computers.
