The accuracy of the FSSP-100 photoelectric cloud-droplet spectrometer
Abstract
The operational principles of FSSP-100 the photoelectric cloud-droplet spectrometer and the basic reasons for the errors encountered by its use are discussed. The values of systematic and random measurement errors in different operating stages of the optoelectronic circuit are estimated, and algorithms are suggested for correcting the results of actual measurements. It is shown that the value of the liquid water content calculated from the size distribution can be either lower or higher than the measured content, while the measured concentration is always underestimated.
