UHF DAMA (Demand-Assigned Multiple Access) simulation analysis
Abstract
This manual is intended to provide comprehensive instructions on the use of the IBM-PC based Demand-Assigned Multiple access (DAMA) simulation environment. It presents information on the set up and loading of the various programs in the environment, as well as details on how to use each of the programs. All packages are structured as workspaces in the STSC Inc. version of the language APL*PLUS/PC. These programs will only run on an APL*PLUS/PC system, and it is assumed that the simulation user has a license for using APL*PLUS/PC from STSC. In the following section, an overview of the APL environment is presented. Each of the five following chapters document the five delivered workspaces (MODEL, BBNOISE, TDMA4N, TDMA4N, and DAMADR). Chapter 7 presents the results of the simulation validation effort. Chapter 8 gives a description of the noise model used in the simulation, as well as a user's guide to the noise simulation functions. Complete workspace documentation, including listings, cross-references, and function call trees are included as an appendix to this report.
