Phase comparison monopulse side scan radar
Abstract
The characteristic features of a stationary monopulse radar system and noncoherent side scan radar are reviewed, and conditions under which the two systems can be combined are examined. Test results are then presented for an experimental air sonar that has been built to model a side looking radar using a monopulse configuration. It is shown that the results of these experiments justify a more detailed investigation.
