Measurement of three components of displacement vector using heterodyne holographic interferometry
Abstract
A novel method for the accurate detection of three components of a displacement vector by using heterodyne holographic interferometry is proposed. The heterodyne technique is used to detect the phase differences accurately through four points on a single hologram. The accuracy of the method is examined by using the equation of error propagation. The applicability of the method is verified experimentally by measuring the components of the displacement vector along the central line of a cantilever beam.
