Analysis of field-widened interferometer data by least-squares and spectral deconvolution methods
Abstract
Linear least-squares methods and the Jansson method of constrained nonlinear spectral deconvolution were used to analyze atomspheric emission spectra obtained in the Field-Widened Interferometer (FWI) experiment. The analysis provides estimates of line intensities and spectra of enhanced resolution. A conclusion of the study is that NO+ was not present in the auroral event observed by the FWI.
