Energy and frequency characteristics of a He-Ne laser (wavelength, 0.63 micron) in mutually orthogonal transverse magnetic fields
Abstract
The energy and frequency characteristics of a 0.63-micron He-Ne laser with a phase-anisotropic resonator in transverse magnetic fields are investigted experimentally. It is shown that the use of crossed magnetic fields significantly reduces the effect of detuning on the difference frequency in comparison with a laser in a homogeneous magnetic field, thus expanding the possibilities afforded by the use of two-frequency lasers in measuring systems.
