Polarization of scattered radiation due to the interaction between laser photons and relativistic electrons
Abstract
A theoretical investigation of the polarization characteristics of scattered radiation from the interaction of photon and electron beams is presented. Measurements of the polarization were obtained on the basis of Compton scintillation polarimetry. The feasibility of producing a polarized gamma beam from the vertical interaction between photon and electron beams is demonstrated.
