Numerical investigation of a viscous shock layer near a critical point in the presence of gas injection
Abstract
A numerical analysis of the equations of a thin viscous shock layer near a critical point (line) in the presence of gas injection is carried out with the aim of investigating the effect of the injection on heat transfer in the flow. Calculations are made for a wide range of hypersonic Mach numbers (6.5, 13, and 26), Reynolds numbers (2-1000), and temperature factors (0.001-0.9). It is shown that in the entire range of parameters studied the relative heat flux can be represented by a single correlation dependence on a certain generalized parameter.
