Analysis of the dynamically equilibrium states of gas flow under conditions of spatial pulsed heat supply
Abstract
An analysis is made of the dynamically equilibrium states of subsonic gas flow arising under conditions of periodic pulsed heat release in a bounded region of the initially steady-state flow. Results obtained for different boundary conditions are compared, and it is shown that the conditions characterized by the absence of reflection are optimal in the problem considered. A simple model is then used to calculate the theoretically permissible pulse repetition rates for gas-flow lasers.
