A collection of data on the normal-stress integral term occurring in the momentum equation of turbulent boundary layers
Abstract
The normal-stress integral is evaluated from available experimental results. A modification is suggested to the existing empirical expression obtained for equilibrium flows which may extend its applicability to more general flows. It is noted that the value of the integral increases rapidly with the onset of separation.
