Experience in use of VD-ZIP eddy-current defectoscope for inspection of tubes
Abstract
It is reported that no complaints have been received from customers in the case of tubes inspected with a BD-ZIP eddy-current defectoscope over a period of two years operation. The defectoscope power supply is from a converter with a work current frequency of 16 kHz and reliably detects not only longitudinal defects but also defects lying at an angle to the contour of the tube.
