A synthetic aperture radar system simulation model: SARSIM
Abstract
The SARSIM pulse-by-pulse radar simulator, producing as output the SAR image of the input target is described. For each physical element of the system, there is a corresponding software module. The software modules simulate the physical element characteristics except the linear gain of the element. This means that the overall model should be seen as a relative, rather than absolute, assessment tool. Simulation of a satellite SAR system is shown.
