Optical technology for microwave applications II; Proceedings of the Meeting, Arlington, VA, April 9, 10, 1985
Abstract
The present conference considers topics in wideband modulation and transmission, the application of optics to microwave devices, phase-array applications, optical processor components, and acoustooptical processors. Attention is given to 14-GHz operation of q-switched diode lasers, high speed lateral photodetectors on semiinsulating InGaAs and InP, mm-visible injection locking and testing, electrooptic mm-wave devices employing cooled ferroelectrics, and an optically controlled PIN microwave phase shifter. Also discussed are an electrooptical communications satellite transponder, the diffraction and detection of bulk acoustic waves, Bragg cell acoustooptics and wide band efficiency enhancement techniques, high dynamic range acoustooptic receivers, and acoustooptic techniques for real time SAR imaging.
