Acoustooptic demodulator of phase-keyed signals
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental results are presented on an acoustooptic (AO) demodulator of PSK signals based on an AO processor. The passage of the phase surge through the AO modulator is analyzed. It is shown that, in order to achieve significant band broadening and a uniform frequency-response curve, it is necessary to reduce the laser-beam aperture and to use spatial filters that exclude the region of spatial frequencies alpha less than 0.5.
