Use of linear antennas to measure equivalent field distribution in an antenna aperture
Abstract
The linear-antenna-probe method for measuring the equivalent linear field distribution in an antenna aperture is experimentally validated. It is concluded that this method makes it possible to speed up measurements in the near field, requires a lower amplitude-phase meter sensitivity, and can be used to determine the direction of radiation without determining the radiation pattern.
