Saturation modes of stimulated thermal scattering of waves
Abstract
Approximate analytical solutions describing some nonstationary nonlinear modes of stimulated thermal scattering of waves in the context of a simple plane-wave model are obtained. The interaction of opposite waves (the one-dimensional problem) is considered in terms of its efficiency. A spatially homogeneous mode is analyzed, which makes it possible to neglect the transfer of slowly varying amplitudes of high-frequency electric fields from the area of interaction; this approach is applicable to a ring resonator and to studies of the interaction of plasma waves which are oscillated by a homogeneous source in a relatively large plasma region. A particular case of an electron beam directed into a plasma layer is considered.
