Variational method for calculating the characteristics of magnetostatic waves in obliquely magnetized two-dimensionally limited ferromagnetic films
Abstract
Consideration is given to a five-layer structure consisting sequentially of a metal, a dielectric, a ferromagnetic film, a dielectric, and a metal in the case of a two-dimensionally limited ferromagnetic film. A stationary functional is obtained and used to develop a variational method for calculating the dispersion characteristics and field behavior of magnetostatic waves in the structure. The results can be used in the design of magnetostatic-wave devices for the processing of radio signals.
