Computation of characteristic parameters of a shielded slot line and experimental investigation of the irregularities in its channel
Abstract
The analytical approach used in computing the propagation constant and the characteristic resistance of a shielded slot line is outlined, and the results of calculations are given. A quasi-static test function of the electric field at the slot is used as a basis for the analysis; the function takes into account the particularities of the field at the edge and is asymptotic for the slot width values approaching the waveguide height values. Moreover, the critical main-wave length is defined, and the single-wave propagation interval is obtained. Finally, a band-pass filter and a low-frequency filter are developed.
