Determination of the time constant of a dynamically tuned gyroscope with allowance for the elastic compliance of the drive supports
Abstract
The influence of the elastic compliance of the drive supports of a dynamically tuned gyroscope on the time constant of the gyroscope (DTG) is analyzed for cantilever and symmetric rotor-fastening arrangements. An investigation of the mechanical model of a DNG makes it possible to determine the dependence of its time constant on the rotation frequency of the drive.
