Intracavity laser spectroscopy - The principles of the method and applications
Abstract
The current state of theoretical and experimental research in the field of intracavity laser spectroscopy is reviewed. In particular, attention is given to standing-wave and traveling-wave lasers, the formation of an intracavity laser spectrum, the effect of the laser parameters on the characteristics of an intracavity spectrometer, and methods for obtaining quantitative information in intracavity laser spectroscopy. The discussion also covers systems for recording radiation spectra and various applications of intracavity laser spectroscopy with emphasis on atmospheric studies.
