A 3.7 to 4.2 GHZ monolithic medium power amplifier
Abstract
The design, fabrication, and performance of a fully monolithic, highly miniaturized medium power amplifier for the 3.7 to 4.2 GHz satellite band is described. The design is based on a lumped element, minimum size approach and on minimum sensitivity impedance matching in order to maximize yield. Extensive computer modelling is used to optimize the FET, passive components and circuit, and to realize the circuit in one iteration.
