Integrated ferroelectric filtering and signal processing devices
Abstract
The physical principles underlying the operation of ferroelectric acoustoelectronic devices and problems involved in the design and fabrication of ferroelectric filtering and signal processing devices are examined in a systematic manner. In particular, attention is given to the excitation and reception of acoustic waves using ferroelectric surface electrodes; analysis and design of surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) filters; second-order effects in SAW devices; and SAW resonators. The discussion also covers the use of SAW devices in signal processing systems, correlation devices with memory, and applications of acoustic memory devices.
