Analysis of Quasi-Periodic Undulationon Pulsed CO2 Laser
Abstract
Characteristics of the undulation superposed on the transient laser output in the afterglow region have been exactly analyzed by numerical integration of the nonlinear rate equations. Observed results are very well reproduced by the calculation. It is also confirmed that the present system satisfy the condition for occurence of the relaxation oscillation. Laser parameters such as the population inversion, the photon density as well as the relaxation parameters are also determined simultaneously. The method of present analysis may be generally applicable for determination of various dynamical constants associated with laser processes.
