Radiative wave and cyclical transfer equations for dense nontenuous media
Abstract
The radiative wave equations for dense nontenuous media are derived. Relations between the parameters of the equation and the physical parameters of the medium are obtained. A set of cyclical transfer equations for dense nontenuous media is derived to account for backscattering enhancement. Numerical results are illustrated as a function of the scattered angle and as a function of the physical parameters of the medium. The theory is developed for small scatterers based on the scalar wave equation.
