Possibility of reconstructing a hadron cascade of arbitrary form in the atmosphere
Abstract
The possibility of using nanosecond technology to reconstruct an individual hadron cascade curve at energies above 10 to the 15th eV in an extensive air shower is investigated with reference to Cerenkov-pulse data from the Tien-Shan station. It is shown that a hadron cascade of arbitrary form can be reconstructed on the basis of 5-6 times and amplitude detectors of Cerenkov radiation at distances exceeding 200 m from the EAS.
