A brightness variation analysis of the object OJ 287.
Abstract
UBVRI photometry was performed on the object OJ 287 during December 1982-April 1983 and periodic light variations were found. Data on these light variations as well as on the object's color indices are presented. For analysis of possible short-period components, observations carried out over a 24-hr period are used. No evidence for the presence of periodic components in the 5-60 m period range were found at a confidence level of about 0.1 percent.
