Imaging spectrometers and spectrum-adaptive TV-systems using acoustooptical tunable filters
Abstract
The use of tunable acoustooptical image filters in imaging spectrometer and spectrum-adaptive TV systems for remote sensing applications is considered. The design principles used to integrate acoustooptical image filters systems with solid state sensors in TV Multispectral Scanner (MSS) devices is discussed in detail. A MSS image of the Pamyro-Alaya region of the USSR, processed using the acoustooptical image filter system on board the Soyuz-22 spacecraft, is provided.
