C-band 6-bit GaAs monolithic phase shifter
Abstract
The design, fabrication and test results are described for a GaAs monolithic phase shifter which contains a 5-bit digital circuit along with an analog circuit bit for fine phase tuning. The phase shifter is intended for use in the 5-6-GHz frequency range. The analog circuit bit may be used as a sixth digital bit. Return loss was better than 15 dB and insertion-loss flatness was plus or minus 1 dB over the frequency band.
