Research and development of the synthetic aperture radar transmitter and receiver subsystem design and some component test results
Abstract
An account is given of research and development work on synthetic aperture radar for earth observation satellites, with reference to the Japanese Earth Resources Satellite-1, to be launched in FY 1990. The subsystem design to establish the functions, configuration, and main design parameters for this equipment is described. Test results are given for some key components of the SAR transmitter and receiver.
